Polling Place Volunteer: 2024 Election

Days left until this campaign end:

We need volunteer poll watchers and exit pollers to help promote integrity this year and to prepare for the TEXIT referendum.

Campaign Details

Election Integrity is crucial to the sovereignty and future of Texas. We need volunteers to help in the 2024 election cycle at polling locations on election day and during early voting.  We need to help ensure this year’s Texas elections are fair and we are preparing for these volunteer roles during the Texas independence referendum.

To help with this campaign, the first question to consider is whether you will volunteer at a nearby polling place for one or more days during early voting (October 21 – November 1) and/or on election day (November 5th).  If you can commit to at least 2 hours during this period, then we need your help in one of these roles:

Exit Poller

This is conducting a survey of people who have voted. We will provide training and the survey information. Exit polls may be done within 100 feet of polling, and we will ask brief non-partisan questions about how they voted and gauge their support regarding a few issues like TEXIT.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 hours of volunteer time during voting at a local polling place
  • Willingness to approach and talk with voters (respectfully)
  • Attend TNM-hosted online training (with practice rounds and Q&A)

Poll Watcher

Poll Watchers provide accountability during the election, watching over election workers and processes to help ensure the laws are followed. The presence of poll watchers may deter fraudulent or illegal activities at polling places. This role requires more training and time.

Requirements:

  • Time requirements: 2 training hours and at least 4 hours at a polling place.
  • Must reside and be a registered voter in the county where you want to volunteer.
  • Must complete and earn a certificate for poll watching on the Texas Secretary of State website.
  • Must be appointed by a county party or campaign that will be on your local ballot. (We will help you accomplish this.)
  • Bring a pen and a notepad for observations.

Please fill out the form to sign up, and we will contact you within one week with more details about training.
